Apple’s flagship iPnone ranked below the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.
Apple has three new smartphones for this season – the iPhone 8 / 8 Plus, and the flagship iPhone X. The 10th anniversary model offers something unique that the other two doesn’t, and while for many it is the superior phone overall, there are some areas in which it definitely performs poorly. According to tests by Consumer Reports, the iPhone X is not as durable as the iPhone 8 line. Although all models have glass backs, the iPhone X had poor performance in durability tests simulating real-world accidents.
Additionally, ‘Consumer Reports’ complains about the battery life, measuring around 19.5 hours battery life for iPhone X. In comparison, Galaxy S8 lasts 26 hours, while the iPhone 8 Plus survives 26 hours during the same test.
While the iPhone X is ranked as 9th in the top 10 list, it has the best score for camera. Other areas in which the iPhone X shines is the facial recognition and the OLED screen.
Overall, the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are the top-rated smartphones from Consumer Reports because of the good battery life. iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are third and fourth, respectively, while the iPhone X takes the number 9 slot.
