iPhone 7 line-up reportedly goes on sale on Friday, September 16

Apple to announce the iPhone 7 in early September

Apple is gearing up to announce its new line-up of phones and tablets for 2016. While we already knew almost everything about the new smartphones, we had no information on when they would be available for purchase. Now thanks to the popular Internet leaker @evleaks, we have information that the iPhone 7 launch will be on September 16. This is the day the new models will go on sale, while Apple will most likely announce them a week earlier – on September 9 – during a press-conference.

Apple will announce the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus without major changes and many new features compared with the iPhone6s.

However, the new models are rumored to have bigger batteries, improved cameras, faster processors, and more RAM (for the Plus version). The devices will also have re-positioned antenna bands and at least 32GB of internal storage (the previous model had 16GB). It’s almost certain that Apple will ship the iPhone 7 with a free jack adapter to connect your headphones, because the smartphones won’t have a 3.5mm audio port.

In other news, we learn that Apple is preparing a successor to the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Photos from China revealed an early prototype of the tablet that is expected to include a faster CPU, better camera and some other improvements. Apple may announce both the iPad Pro 2 and a thinner MacBook Pro in September, along with the iPhone 7.
