Apple rolls out the second beta of iOS 12.2.
The company has just unleashed the update to everyone in the iOS’s beta program after it became available for developers a day earlier. Beta testers can now install iOS 12.2 Beta II as an OTA update on their devices. This update brings nothing but performance improvements and fixes over Beta 1. However, iOS 12.2 as a major update of iOS 12 brings some visible new features for everyone.
This release introduces Apple News app for Canadian users who can now read stories in two languages – Franch and English. There is also the abilily for third party apps to integrate with AirPlay 2. The company redesigned the Control Center’s wake up experience which now takes the whole screen. Apple Cash has been redesigned too, while Safari is now alarming when you hit some unsecured sites.
iOS 12.2 has a new Settings for Safari’s privacy, allowing you to enable or disable websites to access accelerometer & gyroscope for their purposes. Along with the changes above, iOS 12.2 brings new Animoji.
Apple is likely to roll out several new Betas before the 12.2 release is ready to hit the general, non-beta users.
