Apple releases a new test version of iOS 11.
Apple is rolling out new iOS 11 betas to developers and public testers. Three months after announcing this major OS release, Apple is in the final stage of developing iOS 11, currently polishing the software and squashing some remaining bugs before the official update later this month.
iOS 11 Beta can be installed as an over-the-air update or through the Developer Center. iOS 11 brings some significant design changes and new features to supported iPhones and iPads. Among the most visible once are the improvements to the Lock Screen, Apple payments in the iMessage app, new features for Siri, a new App drawer, and more.
Apple has also introduced ARKit for developers who can start building mixed reality apps and games. The first AR apps will be launching this month, developed by companies like IKEA and others.
IOS 11 will make its official debut this month, along with the new iPhone X Edition – a flagship iPhone with OLED display.
