Apple’s product roadmap for 2018 & 2019

Incoming Apple devices revealed.

Well-known market analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who correctly predicted many Apple products in the past, is now sharing another interesting report about the upcoming devices from Cupertino. According to the report, obtained by MacRumors, Apple will release three iPhone models this year.

The second-generation of iPhone X will offer some modest improvements and similar visual appearance, while a much bigger 6.5-inch device will possibly attract new audience with its huge screen estate. Along with the iPhone X2 and X2 Plus, Apple is planning to release a 6.1-inch model with LCD panel and lower price – around $700. These three smartphones will be announced and released in September 2018.

A new iPad tablet is also expected later this year. The new model will most likely adopt Face ID for authentication purposes. The company is also working on a hardware refresh of the MacBook Air laptop.

As far as the 2019 line, the information is rather scarce yet. However, Kuo thinks that iPhone 2019 will offer more significant improvements compared with the 2018 line-up. Among the innovations for next year could be the three-lens main camera module, and some software and hardware surprises.
