Apple Pay expands its services to Italy

Apple Pay officially launches in Italy.

After starting in markets outside of the US in 2016, the Apple Pay service reached several European markets like Russia, Spain, France and others. Now Apple is bringing the payment service to Italy. According to the official website for the service in Italian language, Apple Pay accepts Italian debit and credit cards which can be added to the Wallet app and then used in stores and online.

Currently, there are only a limited number of cards accepted in Italy – Visa & Master Card from UniCredit, Carrefour and Boon. More will be added in the future, so make sure you regularly check the link at the end of the article.

Contactless payments through the Wallet app and Apple Pay can be used in many popular online and physical stores across Italy, such as H&M, LaGardenia, OVS and many others. Apple is expected to expand the service to other new markets in the coming months.
