See how to create dramatic studio lighting effects.

Apple has today released a new video advertisement for iPhone 8 Plus, highlighting the new portrait mode features that are exclusive to the 5.5-inch phone. You can watch the video uploaded to the official Apple channel in YouTube below:

The ad shows the different settings you can use in the Portait Mode with the iPhone 8 Plus. The feature is exclusive to the new Plus model, and works pretty well, even in the current Beta mode.

It utilizes the new dual-lens camera configuration on the iPhone 8 Plus in order to simulate professional lighting in a studio for portrait photos. However, not every single shot turns out great, as the feature relies heavily on software algorithms that can’t beat the physics every time.

What do you think of the new Portrait mode features for iPhone 8 Plus?
